Originally from Phoenix, Arizona, Courtney Marie Andrews began playing guitar and composing at the age of 13, and performing at 15. In 2009, the frontman of Jimmy Eat World, Jim Adkinsasks her to join the band on stage to sing a song from the Wilco, You and Iand the following year the relationship was further strengthened. Courtneyappears in five tracks of the album Invented (DGC/Interscope, 2010) and the young singer-songwriter took part in the band's tour as a backing vocalist and keyboardist. In 2011 she joined the band of Damien Jurado and then in that of the Belgian star Milow. During this period, his fifth album began to take shape.
