I Fat Freddy's Drop are a New Zealand band formed in the 1990s in Wellington, whose style is a psychedelic combination of dub, reggae, soul, jazz e rhythm and blues. They started playing together as a jam band, investing all their energy in their live improvisations, which were the key to their success, until they became the cohesive group they are today. The latest work of the Fat Freddy's Dropwith the emblematic title Lock-Inwas recorded during a live session without an audience in the Michael Fowler Centre in Wellington, New Zealand. For the band, playing in Europe is a bit like coming home: since their debut, they have performed on our continent hundreds of times, passing through the UK, where they have collected numerous sold outGermany, France, Spain and Italy. Each time they say they love our culture, our food and the affection of our fans, and coming back to Europe with a new album will be a bigger experience for the band than usual.
