The tour of the The Cyborgs, who since May have taken their tireless live activity to all corners of the peninsula and beyond, in support of their latest album 'Electric Chair". After three concerts in Brighton and London last July, the band's already busy and constantly updated calendar is enriched by five new dates which will see the duo cross the Channel again in September. 0 and 1, the two masked musicians, will perform the 5 September in Dorset at the Royal Portland Armsthe 6 September at the Isle of Wight as part of the Bestival (one of the biggest events in the UK, which counts among its guests such names as Elton John, Flaming Lips e Fatboy Slim), the 7 September in a double date at Meatopia of London for an afternoon show and at the The Canteen of Bristol in the evening, the8 September a London to theHootananny and the 10 September still at London at Woodburner.
After the unprecedented opportunity offered to The Cyborgs, which saw them last 11 July on stage at the Hippodrome Le Capannelle to open the triumphant Bruce Springesteen concert in Romethe on-stage dimension once again proves to be the venue of choice where the duo feels most comfortable and can best express its disruptive potential.
The new album by the band from the future, 'Electric Chair", è released on 1 May by the Turin-based label INRI and was anticipated by the single "Last War". The duo's new manifesto brings together twelve original tracks and one cover permeated with the rock blues sound of the 1970s, but not only. In their careful journey of rediscovering the lost traces of black music, there is no lack of incursions of Afro and oriental sounds, hints of psychedelic rock and winks at the jazz experiments of the turn of the century, but always with an eye fixed on the revolutionary experience of cult groups such as ZZ Top, The Knack and Canned Heat, a musical legacy assimilated and reproposed in their unmistakable riot signature.
